Reflection
Forming professional relationships with colleagues, parents and the community is a major part of being a teacher this can be seen in every aspect of teaching. Relationships with colleagues is a necessary thing as to help better your own understanding on how best to teach different students, some students could need special attention and previous teachers will be able to give you all the information needed to address this. Building relationships with parents is a valuable part of teaching, by gaining the trust and acceptance of parents they will feel open and honest with you on different aspects of their child’s learning, whether it is good or bad. Lastly relationships with the community help others to see you as not only a teacher but a human being, someone who is able to connect with others without the necessary teacher position on everything. In the evidence provided you are able to see how during my fourth year practicum I built relationships with those around me. By doing this I was able to gain great insight on different aspects of my own teaching and learning.
